Spend Sync is primarily an offline-first application. Your financial data, transaction history, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your financial usage data to our own servers.

A. Information You Provide
- Financial Data: Income, expenses, budget limits, and transaction details. This is stored securely on your device's local database (SQLite).
- API Keys: If you use AI features, you may provide API keys for third-party services (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Ollama). These keys are stored encrypted on your device using SecureStore and are never sent to our servers.
- Profile Information: If you sign in with Google, we may access your name, email, and profile picture solely for authentication and user personalization within the App.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: We may collect device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers to ensure App compatibility and functionality.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., screens visited, crash reports) to improve App performance.
- Ads Data: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect data to provide personalized ads.
C. Permissions
The App uses the following permissions:
- Network/Internet: To sync with Google Drive (Backup), fetch AI responses, and load advertisements.
- Foreground Service: To ensure reliable data processing.
How We Use Your Information
Core Functionality
To organize your expenses, visualize your spending, and manage your budgets.
AI Features
To process natural language transaction entries. Your text/voice inputs are sent directly from your device to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Gemini).
Backups
To enable the 'Auto Backup' feature, which uploads a securely formatted file to your personal Google Drive. We do not have access to these files.
Advertising
To display relevant ads via Google AdMob.
Data Storage and Retention
Local Storage
All your transactions and financial records are stored locally on your device. Erasing the App data or uninstalling the App will delete this data unless you have a backup.
Cloud Backup
If enabled, backups are stored in your private Google Drive account. You have full control over these files.

We adhere to the privacy policies of the third-party providers we use:
